Why Be Concerned?

Homeowners today are finding it more difficult to find a trustworthy contractor. A lot of homeowners would rather do home improvement work themselves, but in the current tough economic times, are unable to take days off to spend repairing and restoring their homes. Unfortunately, there some contractors who don’t mind taking advantage of the working homeowner, and justify their deceit with claims that they need to make a living as well. In that sense, they are willing to “scam” their clients by being dishonest, causing a win-lose situation, with the contractor being the only one to win.

A lot of these dishonest contractors have more than likely been in the business, surprisingly, for many years, and therefore know what to say. Homeowners fall victim to these contractors and their tricks because they don’t know any better, or don’t have the time to dispute or research thoroughly. The last thing most homeowners expect is that their contractor is going to rip them off, with so many other priorities that demand their attention.

College Works Painting offers homeowners a win-win solution. We hire the best college students, meticulously teach and train them to be competent at running a fair and honest painting business, and send them to find a much deserving homeowner who is tired of scams and poor quality. The students win by learning and developing skills that will carry them into their future endeavors, and the homeowner wins by having the peace of mind that College Works interns and managers will not give them the run around.

Our process starts with a visit by one of our branch managers who will provide you with a detailed painting estimate based on your specific needs and goals for your home. College Works Painting branch managers are essentially college students interested in having a future career in business management or leadership, so you can expect to be impressed by their professionalism, punctuality and attention to detail. You will be provided with examples of past work, numerous reference letters from past clients, a timeline for the painting project and an approximate summer start date.

Once the job begins, you can expect consistent communication with the branch manager as he or she actively supervises the progress of the painting project, sets goals and standards with the painters and ensures strict adherence to company quality and safety programs. Branch managers perform a daily walk-through the paint project at your convenience to discuss the progress of the job and demonstrate the high quality workmanship performed that day.
